Sick visits cover acute, non-emergency complaints that a video visit can handle. Same price, same visit length, regardless of which one brings you in.
Urinary Tract Infections
Burning, urgency, frequency, lower abdominal discomfort. We review your history, prescribe an appropriate antibiotic if indicated, and order a urine culture if needed. Most UTIs improve within 24-48 hours of starting treatment.
Upper Respiratory, Cold & Flu
Sore throat, cough, congestion, body aches, fever. We assess severity, prescribe symptom relief or antivirals when appropriate, and flag any signs that need in-person care or testing.
STD Screening
Routine or symptom-driven screening. Joy orders the appropriate panel through Quest or LabCorp. You go in for the draw, results come back to the patient portal, and we review them together.
STI Management
If you've received a positive result from us or another provider, we'll review treatment options, prescribe what's needed, and walk you through partner notification confidentially.

Pick up your prescription
If a prescription is needed, Joy sends it to your preferred local pharmacy. Lab orders go through the patient portal.
Follow up if needed
If symptoms don't resolve as expected, we offer a follow-up visit at no charge within 7 days. Most people don't need one.
One flat visit fee.
Sick visits are $89 regardless of the reason. If labs or testing are needed, those are billed separately at the standard lab fee. Prescriptions run through your local pharmacy and your insurance, if you choose.

Sick visits are designed for the everyday acute concerns that video care handles well. Joy will let you know during the visit if anything you're describing would be better served by in-person care, and help you figure out where to go.
Your visit is fully confidential and protected by HIPAA. That goes for STD and STI care too, which is one of the most common reasons people choose telehealth in the first place.
